MOSES LAKE - Want your photo taken with Santa Claus and his motorcycle this weekend?

Santa is joining the Unchained Brotherhood motorcycle club of Moses Lake to conduct a toy drive to help local kids get the most out of the holidays.

Saturday's toy drive marks the fifth year the club has held the event.

"I know how important it is for every child to get even a little something under the tree," says club president Rod Moyes. "Anything you can donate helps greatly. We spend all the money here locally in Moses Lake and toys go right back out to kids in the Moses Lake area."

The Unchained Brotherhood motorcycle club began in Moses Lake nearly six years ago and aims to better community relations with motorcycle riders.

"We're a group of guys who ride motorcycles who try and give back to the community," Moyes says. "Motorcycles groups have a bad reputation and were trying to change that."

The first toy drive brought in more than $50,000 in toys and money donations. Last year the club received around $13,000 and hopes to do it again this year, according to Moyes.

"Any donations people have they would like to give but can't bring in we would be more than happy to come and pick them up," says Moyes.

Santa will join the club members to pose for pictures with visitors in the Walmart parking lot throughout the day.

"It just feels right to do," Moyes says. "There isn't anything more satisfying or pleasing than watching a child smile when you give them a gift."

The club is accepting donations until Wednesday, when members will take donations to the Moses Lake Food Bank for distribution on Dec. 18.
